Sonus pads and VM

Just curious what pad would be good to apply VM, im going to follow up with either EX or EX-P and ill be applying that by hand. Im assuming if I was to apply 1z pp before vm I would use the oarnge pad or the green pad deppending on what it needed and follow up with VM on the blue pad is this correct. Also would I have to follow up with mp if I started with pp, im assuming not since im following up with VM.

It depends on what your trying to correct 1ZPP will remove light swirls with a polishing pad (green) if it doesn't then give it a try with the orange pad. I've always used VM with a polishing pad, give great results (IMO) and will hide minor swirl marks that are left (if any) by the 1ZPP. You will need to top the VM with your favorite sealant or wax. On black (IMO) VM looks great topped with EX. If your using a liquid topper you could use a finishing pad (I believe Grey) to apply your topper.

Im probably making a bigger deal out of this than it really is, im alway using 1z for my cars but know that im doing more customers I really dont want to use that with all the steps on there cars.

so the vm would do a good job then, only use the pp if im dealing with a very neglected car. Is EX easy to apply with a pc

EX goes on VERY easy by hand, faster than using it with a PC IMHO. But I see no reason that it would not spread easy with a PC.

VM takes out MINOR swirling, you will probably still need the PP on most cars that need correction done. on very neglected cars you are going to need more than the PP too.

I always apply EX with a finishing pad and take it off by hand. IMO, it's easier to apply a thiner coat with the PC. Saves some wear and tear on your arm too!

I agree. I've applied it by hand and by PC and felt I could get a thinner coat with a finishing pad on the PC. If you do it by hand it may be easier using a handi-Grip applicator vs the little yellow foam pad I used.
