Sonus Leather Care review

Just got the sample package yesterday and was planning to hold off till after Xmas. But the weather was nice this morning so I rushed to work on the interior while it was above freezing.

I only tried the Leather Cleaner and the Leather Conditioner, but here are my first impressions.

The cleaner is a clear, thick liquid. It has an odd, slightly chemical smell. But it works really well as a cleaner. I was surprised to see that it managed to take off some ball pen stains that neither woolite-water, nor the Megs Cleaner-Conditioner could handle. I don't know if it's purely chemical in action or also abrasive, but there's no doubt about its cleaning power. Thumbs up.

The conditioner is a more milky colored liquid, thinner in consistency than Meg's aloe leather conditioner. Can't say yet how well it works, but it seems to apply easily, doesn't clog up the pores, and doesn't leave a glossy feel or shine on the surface. However, I did one of the seats with the Megs conditioner and I didn't notice any difference after they both dried, so we'll just have to see. I wish there were some way for me to test the protective abilities but that's obviously something i'll have to take on faith.

All told, two good products with the cleaner being a strong recommend if you have some tough smudges to remove. I'm a little unsure how safe this is to use on a regular basis. Oh, and I applied everything with the yellow, red and black foam applicator David put in with the kit.

I'll use the cockpit spray later.

Thanks David!

Thanks for the review.

You mentioned how the cleaner smelled, but you didn't mention how the conditioner smelled.

I didn't notice any strong smell, though I didn't go in for a sniff. So whatever, the scent, it's not as strong as the cleaner's -- at least in the cold weather.
