Sonus DAS Buffing Bonnet and SG - Very Nice!

Feeling a bit experimental today, I decided to try applying a coat of SG with my PC, rather than by hand. I slipped the DAS buffing bonnet over my DAS orange pad (with some difficulty), spritzed the bonnet with a couple shots of distilled water, then a couple shots of SG from a spray bottle.

I then proceeded to very easily put down a nice thin coat of SG. I had the PC speed at 1.5. After letting the SG dry for about 10 minutes, I wiped it off EASILY with a dry MF.

The DAS Buffing Bonnet......well worth the money if you like SG. :xyxthumbs

Come on guy! Joke.

You got to let the SG cure. Let it sit for 24 hrs on your car. Trust me. Then buff off with a MF contours buffing towel or SOnus MF baonett.

It drys and attaches to your paint totally. 10 mins or an hour isn't enough to let it dry. You will get better coating of another coat of SG or P21S. Then wait 24 hrs after removing to put another coat on.

I apply at 4 speed.

Set me above the other classic detailers in town. Just don't apply to much because it's a pain to remove.

Other than this bonnet experiment, I've been SGing the whole car, then going back to where I started to begin removal. This leaves the SG on the car about 45 minutes or so. I then wait a week before adding a second coat of SG, and another week before adding the third. I've been happy with the results.

What's the purpose of waiting 24 hours to remove? Better shine? Durability? Easier removal? If it's just a removal thing, I've got that problem licked. :)

Mikeman out.

I applied SG sparingly with a grey finishing pad, PC @ 4. I did one panel at a time removing immediately afterwards with a plush mf. Everything was removed pretty easily and it looks great.

Did a 2nd coat a week later.
