Thanks to David for his generosity in sending out these samples of Sonus shampoo and the Acrylic Glanz. :up
I have tried a lot of car shampoos and am somewhat critical as I have a few that I consider the the gold standard.
My initial impression of the shampoo is very low sudsing which I am OK with but some may not be. When I was done with my washing, there was absolutely no suds remaining in the bucket. I will qualify this by saying I typically use these shampoos at 1/3 to 1/2 of the recommended dilution ratio*.
I have used the Sonus 4 times now and have been making it stronger to see if that changes the sudsing action. It has not but it certainly has improved the shine left and working lubricity. From a lubricity perspective, this product is nearly identical to Perls - - lots of lubricity and it can be difficult to keep your hand inside the wash mitt. Some will really like that.
This shampoo also rinses very well. It’s my perception that it’s a beader (vs. sheeter) but it is free-rinsing and is biodegradable.
To me, this shampoo appears to be very gentle and does appear to deposit some new slickness to the surface. It appears the Sonüs Shampoo is very gentle and will be a nice choice for those running fragile carnauba waxes.
The car dries up nicely with no perceptible water spotting. I will say the paint takes on a different glow than I’ve found with other hi quality soaps. It looks nice but without the high gloss I’ve found in other shampoos. That is not a criticism. It is hard to find a shampoo that is not trying to deposit something on the paint making it more difficult to determine how the underlying wax is doing. Oh, well.

Thanks again, David
* dilution ratio on bottle is ambiguous.
