Sometimes its the simple things

An older man who owned an Expedition brought it to work Friday to have the drivers door painted because his neighbor kid crashed a bicycle into it. It was finished this morning and brought to me to do a quick predelivery wash. It was obvious it hadn't seen anything other than the car wash. It had chrome 18's and white letters that were black with brake dust, bugs everywhere, and was filthy everywhere else. I didn't think twice about spending an extra 10 minutes on it with some bug away, wheel acid, and whitewall cleaner. When the man came to pick it up he went on for 15 minutes to my boss about how great it looked and how he never thought his wheels and tires could look like that again. He had to come back and thank the bodyman and myself for doing such a great job. I tryed explaining that it really was nothing and only took a couple minutes per wheel but he was convinced i worked on it for hours. It amazes me sometimes how the smallest most simple things can make the biggest impression on people.

Great story and so true...the thing that you have going for you is chemical and process, what seemed easy to you would have been a whole days work to him

Good job MC
