Some thoughts on Zaino Z-PC usage...

Friends,

I've been playing around with Z-PC a lot lately and I find it behaves quite differently than other polishes due to its makeup. I've really noticed some terrific performance of this polish in removing swirls on black cars.

Here are some tips for getting the best out of it:

1. Use sparingly and no more than a medium cut pad. I do four small dots at the 12 o'clock, 3, 6, and 9 positons along the perimeter of the pad.

2. Start on "4" on the PC and work in for about one minute.

3. Bump up straight to "6".

4. Work into the paint until it starts to dust. This can be a while but I've found it creates a super slick surface. I do one panel at a time and it really does well.

5. Wipe off with a plush microfiber. Follow up with optional Z-6 wipe.

I've also noticed it works on plastic pieces such as wheel well accents, etc. It also works very well with a rotary although I like a less than fully aggressive pad there.

Just wanted to share some thoughts since I feel I have it figured out.

I agree, Z-PC has a learning curve. Once you have it down, it's an effective SMR.

As you stated Lee, 'less is more'. For comparison sakes, an 8oz bottle of Z-PC lasts me ~ 20oz of FPII. FWIW -I use both of these polishes, so don't read this as a slam against Menzerna.

If you apply too much Z-PC, you'll get a glossy, slick feeling finish, but you won't knock out the swirls.

I carry around a 4oz squeeze bottle and mix in about 1/2 an oz. of Z6 to remove the dusting. Others prefer to prime their pad with a mist of Z6.

SilverLexus,

I have found similiar excellent results using ZAIO as a minor surface corrector with a PC and polishing pad.

What I enjoy most about ZAIO is it noticeable cleansing ability and final gloss over other AIO products I has tested. This is extremely important to me with a yellow and white vehicles that require fender rim areas and rocker panel frequent cleansing even when driven on only beautiful days.

ZAIO is now my go to starting polish for those 3-4 month refreshing prep.

Z-PC is an excellent surface corrector with the selection of the proper pad for the blemish one encounters.

Works amazingly well on my ultra hard Z06 tinted clear.:xyxthumbs

For rotory it works awesome! On pc and a yellow LC pad it works amazing also.

My girlfriend used it on one of our bathroom sinks and it restored the gloss to the max! I love the kiwi smell also.

I also like to spritz the pad with some Z6 to reduce any dusting

Agreed Bryan. I do that as well.

I also like using concave pads like those from CMA or Lake Country. They seem to make for a very effective combination.

I am not an expert with a PC ,but ZPC has made the learning curve very easy. I also use the concave pads from CMA. Definately happy with ZPC.

So far I have experience with the rotary and PC and find zpc to be good stuff. Cant wait to try it with the cyclo. I want to master the use of this product for all machines and hope to rarely need anything else.
