Some questions before I start detailing

1. When I find the right polish/pad combination should I use that for

the entire car or just that panel where I tested?



2. How do I know if I should use the 4in pads or 6in pads?



3. Is this a good order?

Clay>Optimum Compound>Optimum Polish>RMG>NXT Tech-wax>s100 wax?

And is it safe to take out the RMG and NXT steps if I feel lazy?



4. After I put my NXT sealant should I wait a day to put s100 wax?



5. Can I maintain my shine by using RMG, s100 after every month and Ultimate quick detailer weekly?



Also if you have any other last minute tips/advice before I start that would be appreciated too.

1. When you get the right combo use it for the entire car unless you have a panel that has been repainted and it takes something more/less aggressive to get all the defects out.



2. 4 or 6 is personal preference. The 4 in pads will get better correction but will take a bit longer because they are smaller, but they won't bog the machine down as much.



3. Its a good process. Try the OP on a test spot first and see if that takes out the defects before stepping up to OC. You can take out the RMG and NXT if you want. The s100 will look great by itself but will not last very long. Maybe a bit more than a month.



4. From what I've heard you're supposed to wait 12-24 hours to let sealants cure before putting something else on them.



5. Good process to do every month. UQD after a wash is good.

I'd simplify that process and do fewer steps. IMO, if you make it a huge undertaking you're less likely to achieve a satisfactory outcome.



Just correcting it and getting a coat of wax on there will be a much longer/tougher job than you probably expect, so I'd keep things simple this time around.



Oh, and work that OCP *forever* so it breaks down completely
