This is a black 00' Mercedez Benz that some parents handed down to a 16 year old personal training client of mine. When she pulled up to my gym the other day I couldn't help but notice the deep scratches all over the fender, bumper, and hood. I asked what happened and she said that some white overspray got onto the paint and that her mom used a kitchen plate-scrubber to get it off. I about had a heart attack when she told me this :hairpull I told her to bring it by my house to see if I could atleast fix the fender for her before it got dark.(I like to do free stuff for my training clients once in a while. Plus it brings me business for detailing in the future).

-clayed (clay magic to get the overspray off)

-wet sanded w/3000 grit

-OHC using a yellow LC cutting pad, speed 5 on PC

-OC using yellow Sonus pad, speed 6 on PC

-OP using white Sonus pad, speed 6 on PC

-cleaned with AIO

-sealed with SG

Overall I was happy for a quickie. Now her parents want the rest of the car done for her. I will post more B4 and after pics when I do the car and when there is better light.

Looks great. Can't wait to see the rest of the car!

When you do the rest, please take some pics as you go through the process, if you don't mind. We love to see things in a step by step manner. :bigups

Thank you! I plan on doing her car earlier in the day so it will be easier and lighter out for me to take step by step pics for everyone to see. It made me want to cry when I saw this car. Atleast the girl cares enough about it to have it detailed.

I can see why they want the whole car done. That's a pretty nice rescue!

Thank you :) There is a lot more work that needs to be done though...the hood is worse :bawling: I'll take some more pics for this thread for everyone to see the B4 and afters :waxing:

Looks like you are off to an amazing start!

Thanks Scott! I've learned alot by following your work :bow :bow and combos of products (notice the optimum lineup I've used!). I'll post more pics and hopefully they will be "Scottwax-worthy"!

How hard was OH/OC to work? As fast as OP? That's a pretty good abrasive combo.

I didn't mix the two together like Scott does with some of his chems. I started with several slow passes with the hyper because the car had been repainted and the paint was very hard. After two times around with hyper, I then switched to OC using a different pad. Then finished with OP. The Hyper did a great job getting almost everything out. The polish just put the cherry on top. Once I wiped away the residue from the OP, the girl couldn't believe her eyes. I just recently purchased the OP and I am sure that I will never order another polish besides this one. The optimum line is superb. The working time is great and has very little dust if any.

Funny how a 16 year old knows the definition of that word. :think2 Excellent work on the Benz, now could we keep it on subject guys?
