Some new pics of the Z, and questions about Sonus

My car was last polished with some Optimum Polish and topped with Meguiar's #21. It has held up well, but I've read that the Optimum products perform better on a rotary, and I am using a PC.



I'm thinking about ordering some Sonus products and was thinking about SFX 1-3. Would that be a good buy? My car is pretty much swirl free, but I'm sure there is some room for improvement. Also, can I top Sonus w/ the Meguiar's #21. I really like it.



Here are some recent pics of the car that I took yesterday. I wanted to try HDR since I finally got Photomatix.

Looks awesome! Can't help you with the Sonus question, but I have a Black Z and maintain it with Optimum Compound and Polish with a PC, I've been happy with it.

Thanks! I currently have the OC and OP as well, just looking to try something else. Optimum takes too many passes via the PC when I try it on some other vehicles.

I agree, rotary + Optimum products are a great combination. I originally started off using Optimum products on the PC and had great results, but I've been using the rotary lately and I love the products even more now. If you're looking to try something other than OP, I would suggest Menzerna Super Intensive Polish. It's very versatile and produces an excellent finish. I'd suggest using it on the rotary though, it would take a while to break down on the PC, similar to OP.



Since your car is swirl free, you obviously maintain it quite well. Why not look into something like P0106ff, or the new Ultrafina that everyone is talking about.
 
I like the Sonus line-up. They cause very little marring and SFX3 is a fantastic finishing polish. You should do great with the products especially with a PC. Sonus developed these polishes for DA's and are very easy to work with. Menz polishes are alos fantastic but I believe they work better with rotaries.

Do I need to order SFX 1-3 or can I get by with just two of them? I am guessing that SFX-1 is the most aggressive of the lineup, similar to OHC?



Will it be alright to top SFX 2-3 with Meg's #21?
