Hi guys, I found this forum yesterday, I think is pretty cool. I think I can learn a lot from you. I love to detail my car a lot, every two weeks or something. Right now Im using my car to test products, cause I want to become a professional detailer. I love to works on cars, specially mine. Right now in two weeks Im going to try the Meguiars Medallion Paint cleaner and Paint protection.

I live in Mexico, we dont have a lot of detailers here, or great products, so I want to start a business. I think the best opportunities are in cars that the people wants to sell, cause they can get their money back with the sale.

We need a good shop here.

Where can I find books or literature about this, where to take some lessons. Any help. Which is the best way to start. Right now Im studiyng the market (Places, prices, demand, products, etc.)

Thanks for your help

Do a search in the professional detailer's forum and in the product review forum so you can not only get an overview of the business end, but also other products combinations that can set you apart from whatever competition you may have in Mexico.

There are a few companies in the states that offer information about starting a detailing business. One is called Rightlook and the other Detail King. A quick internet search will turn up the websites.

You can order videos and other info from them up to complete turn key detailing systems. Rightlook is in San Diego, California and might be a good place to check out if you are ever up there.

Good luck on your business plans.
