Soldiers

After one year of preparation my son, along with 18 other Army Reserve Soldiers have arrived in Kabul, Afghanistan. He made it just in time for dinner today (our breakfast). This is his 3rd deployment to the Middle East.

My son is a CWO-2 and will be conducting and leading field testing maneuvers of petroleum fuel supplies. The U.S purchases its fuel from Russia, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. Therefore, testing and certification is mandatory before fueling any vehicles or helicopters.

Your prayers and special thoughts of him and the other soldiers will certainly be appreciated.

You must be very proud. Tell your son thank you for the freedom he provides to us each and everyday!!!! :usflag

My prayers to your family and your son for his safe return after his deployment. After my 20 years in the service I myself have been in harms way ( Vietnam to Afghanistan) I do know how you feel. Anything I can do please let me know.

thank God for our service members and their families, and all those who go in harm's way for us. my son was an army recon scout and did his time there a few years ago. you certainly have our prayers. tell your son thanks for us.

Thank your son for me for his sacrifice. My sons have done numerous stints in Iraq as combat engineers(IED clearing). I know how proud you must be of him!

A sincere thank you to all for your warm wishes, prayers and offers of encouragement.

Thanks to all of you who have served your country, and thanks to your loved ones who have also made that sacrifice.

Angelo,

When he gets home, he'll have about one year left to finish his 20, at which time he will retire a CW3 with 20 years service, and continue his public administration job with the state of Michigan.

I have forwarded this link to him in Afghanistan.

Thanks again.

A year ago today I touched down boots on ground in Bagram Afghanistan. Just returned at the end of May this year. Good luck and a happy safe return for him.
