Many people have the wrong views about social interaction. They believe tight they follow you,
that you will follow them back. This is not some sort
of blood oath, a pact, or an obscure section
of the never read End User Agreement.
This is just their own misinterpretation.
Yes, social networks use to work life this "back
in the day". Yes, many people still adhere to the follow back theory.
But, the largest and busiest social marketers don't have time for blind follow backs. Heck, Twitter is limited to around 2000 followers. The question is : how can you be one of the two thousand?
I came across an article that best describes some reasons that users will choose NOT to follow someone back. I thought it was great insight into how social marketing had changed, even if the article is four years old
