Are there any Pro detailers in SoCal that would be willing to hold a ''Learn from a Pro'' day? I feel I can read and read all day but seeing and doing with a guidance of a pro would be really helpful.

You can come roll with us for a day. I will not pay you but I will work you like a dog, teach you all I can in one day and buy you lunch.

We had a guy from San Fran spend a week with us recently.

Hi Superior Shine,

I am in Orange County area and interested to learn from the Pro. Could you send me your contact info to set up working in your shop?

Iam mobile, noshop.

You can roll with us and I will teach you proper washing, diagnosis of paint defects, proper claying, preping and waxing, use of the DA, ETC....

We have tons of work. call me-626-964-0808

Hi Superior Shine,

I sent you a PM and would like to set something up, in May or July. Could I just call you a week or two before to schedule a day?

Thanks.

If you are just starting out, this is an incredible opportunity... do not pass it up!

Get plenty of rest two days before joining Joe. It is hard work. Rewarding, to be sure, but really hard work!

I'm open to folks in the midwest who want to apprentice. PM me if you are serious.

I do think that more than one day is needed...

Jim

I've seen first-hand the work done by Joe of Superior Shine on my friend's Maserati Coupe and I can say without any hesitation at all that anyone joining him for a day or will will be in for a real treat. Learning from Joe would be truly learning from a master!

Hey one of those emails is from me. I still plan on taking you up on your generous offer. I am busy as can be right now and will be gone for almost all of June. I would like to hook up with you in mid July.

What was your MOS Joe?

Both offers are an excellent learning opportunity for people just starting , heck its even nice for a pro to see how other pro's do things . Thats another topic for another day . I hope someone takes you guys up on this offer .

Training isn't cheap and to get a free offer makes it even that much better . :woot:

Let me jump in here on Joe's behalf......

I worked with Joe last year for a day....I was an absolutely tremendous experience. Detailing as a Pro is far different than detailing your car as an enthusiast. It taught me more about time management and detailing under actual obstacles of mother nature by being "in the field" than in a controlled environment. Imagine you just finished poishing the hood and you need a bit of QD for a particular spot on the fender and OPPPPS! the wind simply blows your spary all over the finished hood. This may not sound like a big deal, however when you only have 8 hours and you have three cars to detail, one being a Hummer H2, time is $$$.

Joe is an excellent teacher and will provide the "Why" you do something as well as the "How".

One word of caution:....."put down the garage door remote as you clean the interior of the car...." there may be a few hungry Rotwillers in the garage!.......(inside joke....)

This is a tremendous learning experience from one of the best!

P.S. bring you sense of Humour.....If Joe didn't do this for a living he may have been hosting the Tonight Show by now!

Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words.

Yes, set the garge door opener down and step aaaaaway from it please!

Man over seven emails and PMs and no takers!:D

Joe,

Is it too late for me to sign up? I am OC. Unfortunately, I work all week day. I am only available on weekend.

Please PM me if you still have space available.

Thanks,

Tyler

Tyler, I am flattered that you (or anybody) would want to spend a day with me. Unfortunately I don't work weekends. I am just about geared up to teach classes on preventative maintenance detailing in Orange County (La Habra / near Lambert and Harbor). We should be under way in about a month.
