So my DF towels are frayed...

Yeah all the little strands are now frayed. Well not all of them, but most of them. I left them at home, my parents washed them or something, and they were like this when i returned. :bawling:



Now are they still safe to use? They wont mar the paint or anything will they? Im going to be getting some new ones here soon, but i just wanted to see if i could still use these. I know they wont absorb and work as well as if they were new, but i just wanted to see if they could still be used...
 
I bet they're fine. I'd CD-test them, but I'd be optimistic. If they don't absorb (from softeners, etc.) just rewash them in really hot water with some white vinegar.



Some of my towels are really torn up but still work fine. I'd expect it to be the softness of the fibers that really matters, not if those fibers are frayed up or not.
