So is anything really THAT much better than #26 wax?

I'm looking for a LSP, and I have used #26 and like it, but my bottle is about empty. I can get a gallon of it for about $45.

Are other waxes really that much better than it (s100, p21, whatever else) ?

I just want something that goes on and off easy and lasts a good while.

:hm:

I dont say anything out there would look better than M26. Im sure everyone will have their opinions. but mike phillips himself will put 26 against any wax on the market on an evenly prepared surface. I love it because its so simple to put on and take off.

ok im getting a gallon :bow

from my experience #26 is not very durable. if your looking for a good liquid wax thats very easy to use then i would say go with Pinnacle Liquid Souveran. Its more expensive (i think around $75 for a gallon) but is a joy to use and IMO looks a lot better. not too sure about the durability though

Any sealant out there is probably more durable than #26. It just depends on what it is about the product that you like so much. I haven't used anything, including #26, that goes on and off as easy as Souveran in any form. I haven't used a paste wax that is more durable than Blitz. I haven't used a paste wax that is a better value than S100. So if I'm looking for looks, durability, ease of application, and value, what do you think I use? Wolfgang. :D I just don't find what I'm looking for in paste waxes most of the time. #26 is a fine product, but I really think it is pretty much sixes when you compare carnauba waxes to each other. I don't really find a whole lot of differences from one end of the spectrum to the other. The differences are there, but they aren't that dramatic.

I usually top NXT with #26.. Im a avid detailer so how long something lasts isnt an issue for me, its the protection it gives.

If you are a true detailer then you will want to keep you vehicle clean and wont mind putting down a good coat of wax every few months or so.. :)

No, there really isn't another wax that is that much better than #26. Decent durability, deep wet shine, nothing is going to be dramatically better.

good, thank you.

I personally love #26 paste. It is a great wax and dirt cheap. I don't believe any one wax will look the best of all vehicles though. I generally keep 5 pastes with me at work and a couple of liquids for LSPs. Regardless of prep some waxes just look better on different finishes. #26 though is great and it will probably always be in the 5 I carry.

Agreed...This is my recommended OTC wax.

I used to use #26 for years on my first Lexus but I have found P21S to be better looking and a whole lot easier to remove.

The only problem I have is that it streaks when I use it. I have a feeling that I apply it too heavily. Other then that it looks great and when price is considered it's probably one of the best deals out there.

One of my favorites also. The liquid version is even easier to work with. Great look, nice deep and wet without looking plasticy. Durability is ok.

I used 26 once, was a bear to remove and threw it away.

Yes, there is tons better then 26, if you factor in the looks and the enjoyment of using the product.
