I bought some touch up paint today to fix some nicks on my car so they do not get worse. The first pic is of inside the doorjamb and the second one is of a nick on my trunk. all were exposed down to bare metal and had a bit of rust but nothing bad. I lightly sanded, cleaned, then primered with the tooth pick. I'm letting it dry over night. Tomorrow when I apply the paint and let it dry I'm alittle hesitant about using the Meguiars sanding block to level the paint. I'm testing which method works best on the doorjamb nicks for the capillary action, paintbrush or toothpick. Do any of you guys have any tips on how to get the paint as perfect as possible the first time when I apply it. The doorjambs aren't much of a concern, however I want the one on the trunk to look good.
