Well all ive ever used on my Trans Am is Zaino. Now im not ditching Zaino, i love the stuff, i just want to try out some other stuff just for the hell of it. Now the car is red, so i want something that is going to look great on red, and give it a nice depth and shine. I havent used anything other than Zaino, so i dont really know what else is out there. Other than looks, durability/protection is another huge issue for me since i go to flight school in Florida, and all it ever does is rain around here. :wall Ease of use is also another consideration, i dont want to get pissed off just trying to apply or take the product off...

So what else is there? Im open to anything, price isnt an issue as long as it is worth it, im willing to pay anything as long as its not too outrageous. So yeah, give me some ideas, im wanting to try something new...

Proper polishing and finish with Clearkote's Red Machine Glaze and Carnauba Moose Wax. It will give you a very deep, rich and wet looking finish. :)

I think many people here would have suggested topping your Zaino with a carnauba. HOWEVER, you clearly stated that durablility is very important to you. Carnauba is going to fall short in that arena. Therefore, the only alternative I see is another sealant. However, I really can't think of a sealant that I like better than Zaino. Especially, when it comes to durability. If you'd be willing to sacrifice a little durability then do the carnauba thing over your Zaino. CMA raves about their wet ice over fire thing but you could create that on your own. Here's a few I would consider over your Zaino: Pinnacle Souveran, Natty's blue or red or P21S.

That is simply not true. Collinite, Meguiars #16 and Carnauba Moose are all pretty durable. Even with all the rain we got this summer (26" from May to the end of July), Carnauba Moose beaded just fine all the way through and then some on my black car...which is parked outside 24/7.

Skyhawk, do what Scott suggested and polish first, then apply RMG, then top it with Carnauba Moose Wax. Scott originally turned me on to Clearkote and I must say that RMG does the best job I've ever seen at darkening and hiding cobweb effect in direct sun. Maintain it with a bottle of Quikshine and a very plush microfiber. I personally feel that Zaino has better durability that carnauba but I'm not dumb enough to get into a disagreement with a guy who has twenty two thousand posts.:bow

Skyhawk, have you tried Zaino Clear Seal (CS)? Extremely wet, a breeze to apply,WOWA, extremely durable which leads to less time maintaining that just waxed appearance.

Optimum also has a WOWA product (Opti-Seal) that seems to work well for users and easy to apply. I have not read any issues in terms durability.

There is also the new Ultima series that's being evaluated presently for it durability. Reviews have stated look is quite similar to Zaino (reflective and wet). Again it is stated that this product is also easy to apply (WOWA).

You can always go with a high-end carnuaba over the Zaino if you are looking for a different look and just re-apply every 2-3 weeks. Florida's humidity, salinity and frequent afternoon pop-up showers can very taxing on wax-based products.

You can also go with an OTC like DG, Mothers or Meguires

So many fine choices, so little time.:waxing:

If you want something you can pick up at autozone and works great on red then try mothers carnuba paste wax W/O cleaners.

The cleaner wax in liquid form works great for slightly embedded dirt in paint but for the high gloss and deep deep color the paste wax without cleaners is still my favorite wax for reds and blacks in good shape. I've tried some of the expensive ones mentioned here and they are good too but i still like Mothers best.
