yikes. i see some $300 jobs in there . . . . . 1 $1,000 job in which they didn't state anything and a bunch of $85 jobs.

it takes me like 20 minutes to detail fairly clean wheels LoL yet alone doing a full on detail in 20 minutes.

lol in same cases they do. Maybe he soaked the carpet in some cheap apc, quick brush and wet/dry vacuumed it and called it carpet extracting :chuckle:

Its even funnier when they dont realize what a person that has no clue can actually do the paint.



Save 200dollars on car detail spend 10k on new paint job :woot:
 
I wonder how many detailers wrote their own review and stuck some name on it. I mean, "Car completely detailed in 10 minutes and for only $29.95...if you are one of the first 10 callers at 555-5555."

A few points: This is a classic example of the state of our industry. You have fly by night operations who are competing solely on price. Because they are only in the business for a quick dollar, they charge ridiculously low prices in order to obtain work. You also have legit businesses that understand it takes years to build a solid brand and reputation. These types of business charge more in exchange for quality work and great service. Second, the Internet contains a lot of misinformation being disseminated by people who have no clue what they are talking about.

Speaking of people that don't have a clue. I just watched this spot about washing your car on AOL Autos and it made me laugh and cringe (link below). Uses the same cheap MF to wash his wheels and paint!! He also dries the car with a beach towel....Ouch!! At the end he says "I had a job detailing cars in college, so I know hwo to keep a car shiny." I feel bad for the people that had their cars detailed where he was working. Their cars must have been a swirlfest! I can't believe videos like this are even out there as "learning" tools.
