Well how many? I currently use 3-4 capfulls, and fill a standard bucket halfway with water and of course add more water as i go on to maintain the suds, and sometimes about a capfull more soap halfway through the wash. Am i using too much? I feel like i am, but i also like to make sure that the paint is lubicated enough. So, how many capfulls is the correct amount?

what i did is take 4-5oz's of water from a measuring cup, and poured it into a laundry cup (clear round ones) and then now all i have to do is fill it with car soap to it's measured line, and it works perfect everytime...

you can even use something like this...

I use 5oz of #902 for my 5 gallon bucket. I use exactly what a few posts above me said you could use - The laundry soap scooper.

P.S. Duragloss #902 is AMAZING!!! But smells like cough medicine.:LOLOL

Lol I just pour it in there and stop when I feel like it.

It's 1 oz per gallon, 4 capfulls per oz. according to the bottle.. I use one of the lowes 5 gallon paint buckets with the liquids measures on the sides....fill to 3 gallons, x 12 capfulls .

On an related vein, the last time I purchased Robitussin cough syrup i noticed the dosing cap for adults makes a handy 1oz measuring cup.

Sorry to disappoint but I as well just open the top and let it flow which would probably be about 10-13 of the gold class cap and it still lasts forever hah. I as well use a paint bucket or any bucket I have thats clean. I use about 4-5 diff buckets so whichever is cleaned out from the previous wash.

Most soaps use about 1 oz to 1 gallon. I have a few different measuring devices, but my favorite to use is a clear shotglass that has measurements. It's especially handy because for soaps like Citrus Wash n' Gloss, it requires only 1/2 fl oz to 1 gallon for a regular wash solution and the shotglass actually has measurements this small on it. Not a big deal if you're making a 4 gallon solution, but for my personal car I only need 1 gal of solution to do a wash so I like having the smaller measurements.
