So how does this work?

if I have learned my lesson well enough to not get kicked off of this board.

Easter hollydays are here, the weather forecast expects fairly good weather,dry(http://www.bdb.be/weer/weer.html), so my verry first detail (I mean real detail) has arrived:
here's the plan:

from now 'till next week thursday I'll be removing swirls and some minor scratches with Meguiars swirl & scratch remover, I've tested the stuff on one panel and it helps, so ...
edit:the car is now 1 year old, was orbital-swirled-cleaned by the dealer.Since I bought it I have put TW and Meguiars on it .

I figure I can do only a panel a day 'cause even though it's hollyday , I've got a lot to do at my mom's, around the house,...

Thursdaymorning it's dismounting time for the wheels so I can wash ,dry and dress the fenders,
clean the rims (don't know yet if I should "dress" them with wax ,they are clearcoated aluminum)
clean and dress the tires with TW formula 2001 tire-gel
(remind me to buy jackstands haven't got any yet)

Next : dawn wash(well,... not dawn but PER:detergent with NO additives like handssoftner,drybooster,streakfrrestuff,...)
clay Z-18
wash with PER again to be 200% sure I will have no bonding issues with Z
Dry and put the car in the garage.

Friday: Z-5 with Z-applicator(dampened, Z6-d) I'm hoping to get 2 coats out of an oz,Z6 between coats.

Saturday : again Z-5

Sunday : Z2

In between vacuuming the inside
cleaning windows (on the outside , should I dress them with Z?)

the dash was treated with Armor-all by the dealer , you guys wrote somewhere you can get it off with dawn, I'll be trying that.

(during week-days the car is driven by my wife, two kids in the morning, in the evening wife + 4 kids(GRRRRRRRR), car is mine in the week-end because in my free time I renovate electricity in old houses on a legal self-empoyed basis)

remind me to take pictures along the process

wish me luck, should you see possible mistakes will you put me on the right track?

Thanks in advance
Christiaan

I'd just like to make a comment in regard to the care/treatment of your rims. You mentioned putting wax on them - I wouldn't recommend that. The fracture point of wax is significantly lower than that of a quality sealant. Waxing those rims will offer you little protection and virtually no durability.

A better idea would be to seal them with a sealant instead. The fracture point of a quality sealant is higher than a wax, and it is superior in the durability dept.

I have clear coated aluminum rims on the Vette, and they are sealed, not waxed. Use caution if you are going to use a wheel cleaner on them as well. An acid-based wheel cleaner can ruin the clear coat before you even realize what has happened. You will want to use a non-acidic wheel cleaner - one that requires agitation.

Once sealed, you'll only need to wash the rims as you would the finish. Both brake dust and road grime will be far easier to remove once the rims are sealed. :up

I am looking at my bank statement and see an order I placed being processed before and order I placed earlier in the day. So my question is, if I received an email when placing an order will I receive that product or is there a chance of the products being out of stock. Curious why the second order was filled first. Hoping one of the admins could chime in.
