Well, I and my PC 7336 are getting along just swimmingly, but I am wondering whether I am using the best product for swirls on my black car.

It is new the the "swirls" are really just the hazy. misty type (hmm, dated a few of those in high school, but those were girls, not swirls).

I still think the hazy swirls are in the Klasse, but nonetheless, what is everyone's opinion of using SMW vs. McGuiar's #9.

Thanks.

I hope you mean SMR, lol. SMR is more abrasive, hence stronger. I like both but would go with SMR since I was doing my black car by hand.

BTW it's Meguiars

SMR is definitely more abrasvie the Meg #9. That is what I decided to try Meguiars. You want to start with the least abrasive and work up. You might want to try Pinnacle PPCL first if the swirls aren't really that bad.
