SMR to Klasse AIO

I am planning the full detail job this weekend. I will start with a basic wash then clay. I will be using 3M SMR with my new PC to remove swirls from my dark blue paint. I then plan on using Klasse AIO topped with Soveran. Do I need to Dawn wash to remove the SMR before starting with the Klasse, or will the Klasse remove the SMR?

TIA:up

I also use AIO, and dawn is not a step you need since AIO is a cleaner. It will remove anything layered under it. Tip: Use very little on each panel.

Good Luck!

You are using too much klasse All-In-One. Mist the pad with a detailing solution like quik detailer. Re-mist the pad about every third time you add All In One. Apply 3 short lines of Klasse All-In-One (about two inches long) around the perimeter of the pad. Set polisher at a low speed range of 3 ½ to 4. Place the polisher on the car’s paint and turn the machine on. Do not bear down on the polisher; let the polisher do the work. Work on one section at a time adding small amounts of Klasse All-In-One (three 2-inch lines) as needed to keep pad moist. After completing one section, buff off any residues with a soft, dry terry towel or microfiber towel. I like microfiber, residues should be dry when you buff them. If the residues are still wet, you are using too much All In One, or spraying too much Quik Detailer. Do a final buff with a Microfiber bonnet at a speed of 41/2.

AIO is not going to remove any swirls, so yes, if you need to do any swirl removal, you have to use SMR first.
