Small white flakes

I detailed my black car a couple of weeks ago. After I finished, I saw some areas of little white polish spots. I assume it was some of the Optimum Polish slinging. I thought it would wash off, but I washed today and it needs a little elbow grease to come off. Of course, I suspect this will reintroduce those swirls I was getting rid off, so do you have any thoughts about how to get rid of them? Also, they don't all come off, even with a bit of work. I suppose I could try claying them, but I just detailed!

If it is polish sling, you should really remove those spots before applying your LSP. If the polish sits for a little while, it will take a little elbow grease to remove. Otherwise, use a damp microfiber and you should not have to worry about marring.

Another possibility... I have done plenty of used-car dealer and repo cars with the grease pen writing on the glass. Many dealers are terrible at removing these marks and if that stuff flakes onto the paint it can become very difficult to remove (clay).

Yeah, I think it's polish. Next time, I'll be careful to do it before the LSP. Just wanted to finish!

Thanks.
