Small spots of clearcoat cracking

I just noticed today that I have two half-penny sized spots of clearcoat cracking. (my guess is this another byproduct of the dealership wash, ugh..)

Looks just like the pictures here

Obviously the only fix is repaint, but would it be worth just getting that specific area sanded then blended? The sports are very small, so even if it looked off, it would still look better than cracking clearcoat.

TIA

No one knows? :(

If I don't have to worry about the cracking spreading at all, I might just sand down those areas myself and put a few dabs of touchup paint over them.

If through the clear and down to the color coat than I doubt any sanding will help...Plus it is difficult if not impossible to blend a clear coat where it will last and look good for a long time.

PS I have seen these stickers on cars that look like bullet holes...you could put one on the spots:D

I am pretty sure its just the clearcoat, since the actual color looks fine.

What I am thinking, is the spots are so small i would much rather have two tiny spots that look off than spend tons of money getting the whole side of my car repainted.

So would it be possible to just sand off the clearcoat, use two dabs of touchup paint, and just be satisfied with two slightly offcolor spots?

thanks for the response! :)

Hmmmmmmm...Send DLW a PM as I consider him the expert of rejuvinating old paint....check the pic section for what he did to his sons prelude...Amazing.
