Hope this is a legitimate question and not an obvious display of my newbieness.
Getting ready for my fall/winter prep and had a question regarding UPPP. After the usual wash/clay procedure I need a very slight correction (minor micro-marring on a 2005 Carbon Black M3). The plan is to polish with Menz FPII which I suspect will clean up most of the micro-marring (if not I'll hit the needed areas with Menz P106FA) then I plan on hitting it with UPPP and applying UPGP.
My confusion is with UPPP's capabilities. According to the site:
"Ultima Paint Prep Plus is an effective treatment for fine swirl marks...."
and
"However, Ultima Paint Prep Plus is not a corrective paint polish."
and
"...The very fine abrasives (polish) in Ultima Paint Prep Plus ..."
So I read this as UPPP has very fine abrasives and will remove fine swirl marks, but it is not a corrective paint polish. I may be splitting hairs here, but those statements seem contradictory to me. I am not expecting M105 correction capabilities, but since abrasives are present there is a slight correcting capability...maybe??.
Question: Should I even bother with the Menz FPII or just go straight to UPPP?
Thanks
