I am wondering if single stage non-clearcoat paint is still availabale on the market, as i have a custom computer project coming in the future i would like to use it for. I would like to paint it a single stage color, so i can experience how difficult it would be to paint a car single stage for the nostalgia factor as i want to get a camaro ss muscle car in not so great shape and turn it into a street rod with a bit of old school factor.
Also what are some good brands of single stage paints, how long does it take for single stage paint to harden, and what are the basic rules of thumb to buff to a high gloss without a roatry, i have a porter cable 7424 and the full line of buffing pads from autogeek.net
