Just thought I'd share a few all in one thread.

Lexus LS430:

Mom is very active in the community, so this is another car from a member of her networking group.

Goal was to do a one step polish and add protection.

interior wasn't that bad but needed a good vacuum and I cleaned/conditioned surfaces.

This car is nicely equipped. Radar cruise control, rear seat upgrade with massagers/recliners etc..don't get to drive these often at the dealership much anymore..fell in love with it again.

QJ6Qcl.jpg

Collected these golf tees and vacuumed out the spare tire area.

Sticky substance on one of the trunk panels underneath the cargo mat:

nBeivl.jpg

Steam took care of it

txuQWl.jpg

shifter gate cleaned out

5mTZUl.jpg

I reclined the back seats to check for hidden issues, found these green stains on both passenger and driver side seat bottoms.

BzwBrl.jpg

Steam took care of it

1Tg8ul.jpg

someone used the cooler box!

9gvcMl.jpg

working my way around, remembered to check the lil storage boxes on the bottom of the front seats

gVS1Wl.jpg

tool kit was not properly stored in the trunk, and covered in grease/grime.

jQB8ll.jpg

Cleaned it up and properly stored it later

qT5OAl.jpg

outside was in ok shape, metal trim hella oxided, both bumpers need paint...as well as the hood most likely since the front edge around the grille is peppered bad with rock chips.

zRUucl.jpg

needs paint

ZYIofl.jpg

Engine wasn't bad, I just steamed it.

mjUPll.jpg

Propped up the sunroof to clean that, and then opened it all the way to clean the trim area and metal edges.

tire degreasing then wheel cleaning

FLfq2l.jpg

I just like the way it looks with a lot of foam on it.

bN8jdl.jpg

decon gel, next I autoscrubbed and dried.

SDqqol.jpg

50/50 strip trying to show a lil bit of clarity restored to the trunk with polish. not 100% corrected.

85K11l.jpg

I spent a long time trying to deoxidize trim. Some of it cleaned up well...like the front and rear bumper strips. This is the front bumper...as evidenced by the tag bracket hole. The trim around the back window and front windshield didn't correct as well.

t4IAvl.jpg

Going around removing tape and wow I was surprised at how good it looked, even though 100% of imperfections weren't removed with just polishing.

j5hBVl.jpg

Hit all the crevices with steam to make sure they were cleaned out.

qXckvl.jpg

After crevice cleaning, then I gave the car a wipe down prior to powerlocking.

s4q4ul.jpg

I hit the tires with dressing after powerlocking so I could get some sun shots real quick before sunset. Afterwards I waxed it and dressed wheel wells, exhausts, etc. Outside windows were also rain-x'd. By that time sun was down and getting good photos was impossible with my camera.

Had to make sure the battery was charged up before bringing it back.

0CY1Ol.jpg

Overall it turned out pretty good.

---

Update 12/30/12: Customer is returning from vacation tonight and will see the car for the first time since I took it home to clean it. I decided to stop by her place and redress the tires due to rain and snow we had over the past week so it would have the freshly done look. Heavy wind was blowing leaves and debris all over the paint so it really wasn't worth trying to safely wipe down the paint again. Getting protection on the paint really helped though, car still looked amazingly clean. I was also able to get a few more pics.

Here's a before pic of the exhaust, never posted it before since I didn't get a good after pic. Fine steel wool and CG metal polish. Now I can post it! :D

Her house had some awesome water pressure, foam bath worked well with my water softener.

Cleaning the grille...

tiQfcKxl.jpg

On second thought, the wheel woolie was easier for this. (I have a wheel woolie that I dedicated for grilles..never use it on wheels)

Finished the wash and got the car ready for wax

went to load up the truck and some random cat jumped in, had to shoo it out. It then walked all over the freshly waxed Mini. GGGRRR.

Interior today on the mini from last week and a quick exterior touchup. 4 hours...not too bad.

1993 GMC vandura

Close family friend stumbled upon this 93 Vandura out on vacation in Cali, bought it, and drove it back this summer. Solar panel on the roof, etc etc pretty decked out.

It was in decent shape, besides a long key mark on the passenger side and peeling clear on the fiberglass.

I helped him do a simple polish on it to remove oxidation, interior was not touched.

hvcZCl.jpg

Wheels were in good shape, not very dirty or etched up...this picture shows them wet from foggy morning dew

ms3jnl.jpg

It was keyed at some point, shame

ikvIRl.jpg

75KNal.jpg

Fiberglass clear peeling

S3VfAl.jpg

1z anti-insekt took care of these bugs very nicely

vRVRxl.jpg

Owner hit the wheels with my whoolies after I degreased the tires and arches

AE8LZl.jpg

Original spare according to the owner, he will remove the rack and repaint it later due to surface rust.

4xk5fl.jpg

We removed the bug guard for good reason

UyZwol.jpg

dirt came off pretty easily, even off the vinyl

WucBxl.jpg

Dawn foam. Cloud cover came and went perfectly. No direct sunlight when washing, then the sun came out. The clouds returned just in time later on when it was time for final wax.

oZkgml.jpg

iGtJQl.jpg

Decided to try the autoscrub by hand this time, I enjoyed it and didn't experience excessive fatigue even on this beast.

I also used the nanoskin hand attachment on the polishing pad where the GG3 could not be used.

apinBl.jpg

After autoscrub...I also scrubbed the windows.

xS5mpl.jpg

Most of the vehicle showed readings around 120, the driver side quarter panel showed a lil bit lower.

SlvX2l.jpg

This scratch came out nicely with a lil m105

MUG2Ll.jpg

Heavy oxidation behind the bug guard.

4adwGl.jpg

I used AF Tripple on the entire vehicle, left side of the hood behind the bug guard polished, right side unpolished.

5rW7kl.jpg

I was able to remove 95% of this streaky nonsense

yXhAfl.jpg

eUR4ml.jpg

Had trouble polishing the ladder, but it's half broke and kinda sketchy to climb on. It will need to be removed and repaired.

Su3Q9l.jpg

Passenger rear door unpolished, passenger front door polished

uhEF3l.jpg

Driver fender before and after

EscyGl.jpg

rGcHDl.jpg

Top of driver door polished, bottom half "limited" in the reflection (ba-dum-psh! I got jokes eh?)

DhXIwl.jpg

Driver door complete

it1kil.jpg

After polish, before 1z Glanz

pS9cKl.jpg

h7vjzl.jpg

I gave the owner some metal polish to use on the bumpers and trim while I polished paint

qtvjOl.jpg

Final shots after AF satin tire dressing and Adam's undercarriage spray. Owner cleaned and reinstalled the bug guard while I removed wax.

Imagine how great this shot would have been without the key damage!

kQVjpl.jpg

Since there was still soap in the foam gun, he did a quick wash/autoscrub/1z glanz on his expedition while I worked on the van. The beast has some light marring from his usual wash methods but not bad at all.

Nice job on all of them. Bet that hi top conversion van took just about all day. Remember doing a lot of those into the late 90s, then I just stopped seeing so many of them.
