Simoniz Waterless Wash

JaredPointer

COME AT ME BRO
I was browsing my latest edition of Motor Trend Magazine, and noticed the advertisements for Simoniz products. One that struck me as "I might want to try this" was for their waterless wash product (out of sheer curiosity). Anyone seen this, or better yet used it?

I've always wondered - where does the dirt go?

If you believe (as has been described with the likes of Poorboy's Spray and Wipe) - the waterless wash lubricates, encapsulates the dirt, and allows you to remove it using a lightly swiped MF towel.

All I can say is that I've used Spray & Wipe on some light-to-moderate dirty vehicles, and have not noticed an increase in visible marring. Wondering how this product would stack up in comparison.

I'd be interested in your take on the whole process, as you are probably privy to a lot more information that I am. Please share, as I'd like to hear what you have to say. :inspector:

No, I had neither seen the product or used. But after you bring another product to our attention I did search it out. Found the video demo piece and it does appear to be very similar to PB's S&W, with the exception that it infers that there might be some glossing component. No idea about pricing, but might not be quite as cost effective as S&W since you won't be able purchase in gallon much less 5 gallon sizes. It is interesting that products such as this are being brought to the OTC consumer market. Wonder how well it will be received by the regular Joe car washer.

Wandering a bit OT, but is Simoniz trying to elevate their presence in the automotive cleaning market? Just this year, a long time Meguiar's Detail Center has been "converted" to a Simoniz Detail Center.
