:werd: Walmart is blowing out the Simoniz Stuff they have for 1.97 each. They have a QD, Vinyl / Rubber Protectant, Car Wash 32OZ, and Wax in both paste and liquid.
I thought why not.
The paste wax requires a WOWO method and it actually looks better when you WOWO verse leave it on to haze. The paint does look wet, but it lacks any smoothness. It rained shortly after and the beading was adequate. For 1.97 it was okay. Would I buy it again, NO. It might be nice for friend’s cars though so you’re not using up the good stuff. If I was buying OTC I would still prefer Liquid Glass to this product.
The QD, did it’s job. Again it was nothing to write home about. It is nice to have again to use on Rims, or others cars since it was so cheap, but it is not like the stuff we usually buy around here.
Vinyl / Rubber protectant. On the tires it lacked any gloss. Seemed more like a cleaner with a very muted matte finish. On the interior it faired much better and again is going to be used only on friends or families cars until it is all used it. I won’t use it again on mine.
Now on to the car wash. This is the best item out of all the products above. Decent suds, felt lubricated and the value was great. I will use this product up, but I will not run back and purchase any more to save a few $$.
Overall for 1.97 you get what you pay for. If your looking for something to give away to others or use on others cars to save the good stuff it would work nicely. Would I recommend you rush out to buy what’s left, no, but if your already there why not try the QD and Soap, the other items are hit or miss and not worth it IMO.
