Simoniz 6" Foam Buffing Pads

I dropped by my local Canadian Tire store tonight and saw some Simoniz 6" Buffing Pads for sale. They're designed for use w/ the Simoniz Cordless Random Orbit Polisher. They're 1" thick white foam pads w/ a black velcro material that would seem to work with any velcro backing plate. Cheap too.... $7.99 CDN for a package of 2. Has anyone else seen or used these pads before? Would anyone recommend using these w/ a PC 7424?

Now I need to find some of these. If for nothing else but polishing windows.

Now what I wonder is the US version of Canadian Tire:nixweiss

Here's the related part #s

Simoniz 6" Buffing Pad (Qty: 2) 39-9041-8

Simoniz Cordless Random Orbit Polisher 39-9006-4

I could always ship some to you if you really want?

Cool thanks for the part numbers. I will wander around and look for some today.

By the way nice car. That was the color I was looking for, before I ended up getting a silver one :bounce

Sorry, I don't have any experience with the Simoniz pads.

Do you by any chance remember the price on the cordless random orbit polisher? The only other cordless polishers I know of are made by WEN, but it uses 3" pads and another one by ProShine but it doesn't use the velcro backing system.

Thanks.

I think the Simoniz Cordless Random Orbit Polisher was around $90 CDN.....not 100% sure, but I think it was under $100 CDN. It's actually a 3" polisher w/ a Velcro backing system.... similar shape to a PC, but smaller and no secondary grab handle. I saw 3" foam pads, 3" wool pads, and 6" foam pads available for it. I guess the 3" backing plate just sticks in the center of the 6" pads? Not sure how well the 6" pads would work with this thing?

ViperChan,

Thanks for the info.

That's a good question. I don't have much experience with machine polishing so I wouldn't know. I would imagine that it would be sufficient for cream waxes and glazes, but that's just a guess.

Thanks again.
