Silver Satin Passat, FI-II, SMR, Z2

I was on the verge of being thrown out of Autopia for auto neglect. I picked this 2001.5 Passat back in November. I slapped a coat of Meg's #20 on one day when it got above freezing and haven't done anything since then, expect for a few washings. I finally gave her the proper treatment this weekend. First a wash and clay session. Then I hit the hood with FI-II followed my SMR. I did the rest of the car with SMR and it was awesome. I didn't FI-II the whole thing because it's silver, and I can get away with it:p . I couldn't devote the whole weekend to detailing. After the polishing she got two coats of Z2. I dressed the tires and black plastic trim and here she is. I didn't have time to get some good sunshine pictures, but I snapped these this morning. See those clouds back there, I drove through them minutes later:( . Oh well, with the two layers of Z2 on, the next wash will be a breeze!

Love your car... You did a great job!

I wouldn't say I've neglected my Passat (1998 1.8T green wagon), but it could use some TLC. I've traveled a lot in it lately - it could use a "spa treatment".

You've inspired me...
