Bret and I worked on this car which we renovated for my mom. The process was:

1. Z-7

2. Z-18 Clay

3. Z-7

4. Menzerna 106FF, rotary on horizontal, PC on vertical panels

5. Rinse with slight PB SS&S soap to remove 106FF dusting

6. Z-2 Pro Times 2 with ZFX

7. Z-8

Used the Indigo Blue edgeless mf from AutoGeek for Zaino removal and wiping after dusting. PakShak UltraPlush on interior work, PakShak WW drying towels.

Wheels were EO All Wheel & Tire followed by Z-16 after thorough drying.

Trim work brought back to black with PB Trim Restore

1Z Cockpit Premium on interior

1Z Scheibenklar on windows with PakShak WW glass towel

Not bad. Obviously some sun would have enhanced the pictures greatly, but from what I can see, GOOD JOB! It's really nice to see a Honda Accord that still keeps its good looks after many years. Usually cars that are this old go out of fashion and lose their good looks. The Honda Accord is still going strong!

Bret and yourself did a great job on that silver. Zaino really looks stunning on silver.

How did the PB SS&S do?

How did the PB SS&S do?

It worked very well. We went bucketless and just took the still sopay mitts and a small dap of SS&S on it...just enough to remove the Menzerna dust and clear the paint up. The Zaino went on very smooth thereafter and it got shinier still with the finishing touch of Z-8.

Zaino does an incredible job of bring metallic paint back to life, even after so many miles of driving and a very rough initial clear coat. We may have used Z-PC as a second polishing step ideally but we were worn out given the extreme heat yesterday in Alpharetta. Spent 5 hours on the car.

The interior plastic was in great shape and cleaned up very nicely with Cockpit Premium.

Lee,

How did the 106FF handle on the Accord? Honda are knownig for soft paint. I know cuz I have the same model and color car :).

Can 106FF compare with OP?

106FF worked great, nicely leveled the clear. 106FF is in the same league as Z-PC which I consider both better than Optimum.

I think my mom certainly got a good deal with this car. I like it better than the gold 94 model she had previously. More clean lines...
