my brothers sts
he trying to get rid of it so i thought i could help it sell by buffing some scuffs he has on the side

i buffed with an orange with 2.5 ssr
then white with ssr1

i probley could have spent a little more time on it but this car has so many issues and flaws it really wasnt going to make a difference

just a little practice

i was a little concerned on how long i could have buffed with the orange pad before i started to eat paint is this ever a problem i have a da buffer

well after posting this i buffed a small section on my brothers new car it has a 5 year old aftermarket paint job which isnt the best quality. It has orange peel and is starting to fade/ oxidise.

I buffed a small section on the hood just to let him see a sample i used the same setup orange then white well the pads had red paint on them when i was done however it did buff to a decent shine
so maybe i should just use the white pads on this car since it just needs to restore shine????

you ever encounter this?

Am I missing something here:hmmm:

All I can pull up is 1 pic of a wrecked door:huh:

But thanks for sharing as I love lookin at this Stuff:rockon

With the size of the dent, I'm surprised that the paint wasn't "cracked" in a couple of places.

Paint transfers can be some of the easiest blems to correct, but working in and around an uneven dent like that probably took some pad manipulation to get to it. Did you do any of the paint removal by hand?

i used the da buffer, on some spots i held it on an angle to allow the pad to penetrate the surface, on the side and top of that trim peice but mainly used the da buffer.
when i was wiping the polish off with the mf towel i applied a lot of pressure on remaining scuff and some came off but not much.
