Should There Be A Speed Between 5 & 6?

Really, really dumb question...but I simply cannot remember.

My 7336 has "detents" between 1 &2, 2& 3, well, you get the idea. But, between 5 & 6, it's just mush until 6.

I stopped at Lowes and checked the one on display that did the same thing.

Does anyone else notice this?

I have the 7424, I put it at 5.5, but I really can't tell a difference until it reaches 6. So I guess I don't have a 5.5, but I still put it there a lot. :D

Wish their was...5 is very controllable, but the few times I pumped mine up to 6 it became tough to control. 6 on mine is like putting the afterburner on, there's a huge difference from 5. Plus I think it kills SSR2.5 almost immediatly.

there is a large difference between 5 and 6, but for most polishes this is a good thing. The vastly increased speed allows the polishes to break down faster and do their jobs. I'm with Patrick, I would like to see the PC go past 6,000 OPM and have a speed 7 or 8.

I think speed 6 is really more like speed 7 or 8.

It just isnt the same as going from 4 to 5, as 5 to 6.

But no, there is really no 5.5/

Yeah I had noticed this, it seems easier to pick incrediments between all the other figures ie: 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, but anything after 5 it just wants to click right up to 6. Thought mine had a problem when I couldnt select 5.5.

6 is splatter city! My PC only sees 6 on rare occasion. 3-5 is my speed range for most averything. i could not immagine how hard the PC would be to controol at a 7 or 8 speed.
