Should I wax clear-bra?

Like the question states, is there a point in waxing the clear-bra? My thoughts right now is to leave it alone since it's not paint and didn't want anything on the bra that could yellow it in the future.

You can if you want. I use Plexus(sp) to remove those light marring after washing.

Exactly what I use for maintaining the clear film.

For added protection, I'll spray on some Z8 after Plexus.

Waxes can be used, but remember that waxes can also add a bit of yellowing in time.

Sealants can be used as long as they do not contain large amounts of solvents which can weaken the film. Sealants will not yellow, and can add a bit more protection.

Films can also attract MF fibers when warmed, so use a low lint MF when cool. You have to be careful not to rub too hard as well.

Enjoy it. It's the best protection for your paint!!

Well, personally I would protect it somehow to prevent any type of "yellowing" in the future due to long-term deterioration of the film :)

Just go ahead and hit it with some Plexus and/or sealant

I use Plexus on mine too but for this Winter I decided to try some wax.

I used 3M's Professional Liquid Wax cause I had some and 3M recommends it for use on thier PPF (actually they say you can use any non pigmented wax but pitch thiers).

It really adds depth and reflection to the film esp on the hood, not to mention making it easier to keep clean.

Whatever you do don't try Meg's PlastX

I use Plexus topped with Collinite. The Avery's film is softer than the 3M but both respond well to this combination ... :)

About yellowing, if you have a white car, then yellow will show the most. If you have yellow, beige, or any darker color. It's very hard to tell.

With 3M or Venture shield(this what I have on my '07 Outback). It wont turn yellow(they claimed :nixweiss ).

I would use plexus and then 303 Protectant, remember that the bra is still a plastic material and should be treated like them. You wouldn't wax your plastic door moldings so this isn't any different except that its clear.
