Should I use AIO or not?

I just finished compounding with 3M RC (yellow LC pad), and polishing with 1Z PP (white LC pad) on my black Mercedes. This was an all day affair, especailly with 91 degree heat and 70% humidity!:shocked I plan on finishing up tomorrow since it kicked my butt today and plan on using 1Z GW as my topper but can't decide if I want to use AIO before it or not. What do you guys think? AIO then GW or just go straight for the GW? I haven't used GW before, so this is going to be the first time for me. How about application of the GW, PC or by hand? How many coats?

AIO ... is an all-in-one product (how about then apples, i'm quick...) meaning it will clean, maybe polish a little, and protect. AIO will remove the waxes/oils left on your paint after the 1Z PP. If you want to use AIO, you may want to use an alcohol spritz first to ensure the car is prepped to your liking. Meaning -- the AIO will strip the fillers in the PP possibly leaving the swirls that were filled in ... i personally would just go GW ... but its up to you to figure out which combo you like best!

as far as applying GW ... i have a small cheap spray bottle that i put some GW in. Not sure if you have it yet, but you'll notice its about the consistency of water, if not thinner. Thin coats are a must, and i find the best way is to spray some on a foam applicator then apply to the car. It hazes rather quickly and buffs off easily with a MF towel. The stuff is amazingly simple, and i find it lasts a week or two longer than the average carnauba.

good luck!

Hmm, I was under the impression that PP didn't have any fillers. I haven't used GW yet and usuallly use P21S Carnauba, so AIO is a must prior to the P21S. My concern was with the oils and residue (fillers?) left behind the PP. I didn't want to run into any bonding issues with the GW if the surface isn't prepped enough.

Okay, I just applied the GW directly over the PP (after washing, of course) and it looks great. The car is 4 1/2 years old and looks brand new, but the fact that it only has 25k miles on it helps! Anyway, my next question is should apply multiple layers kind of like SG? One thing I plan on doing after a week or so is covering the whole thing with some P21S. That should bring out a nice, rich, gloss. So what do you guys think about layering?
