1. Ridgid 4050 4 Gallon 5.0 HP (home depot)

2. Shop-Vac Heavy Duty Portable 5 Gallon 5.5 HP (lowes)

Are these the best wet/dry vacs for under $100 out right now? Thanks.

can't go wrong with the ridgid, it comes with a Lifetime Warranty...

type in " wd4050 " in the search, there's lots of info...

I just got a wall mount (5hp, 5gal) Craftsman for my garage. It was $99.99...

Craftsman Clean N Carry® 5 gal. Wet-Dry Vac, 5.0 Peak hp - Model 17925 at Sears.com

Thats pretty cool ! Like it ?

Yup, the only thing I think it needs is a longer hose. If you leave it on the wall it is a bear to get to the opposite side of the car in the garage. If you pull it off the wall, no problems...

I'm not sure the model as I'm not at home right now, but I just picked up Rigid's 6.5hp version that has the detachable blower. It's been great so far and it was on sale at Home Depot for 69.99, that plus the Auto Detailing accessory pack put me at like 117.00 for the whole deal.

I'm pretty sure the Craftsman and Rigid vacs are identical as they have the same parent company. I know there is a Crafstman vac that does the same as my Rigid.

I have the same one myself. I love using the detachable blower--it makes drying cars so much easier

Hmm was just at home depot and the only 6.5hp rigid was selling for over $150! Not sure if this was the same one you got. Could you check the model number and post it? Thanks.

How quiet are these...especially the Rigid? Would the whole neighborhood know that I was using it?
I don't think there's a wet/dry vac on the market that's quiet. The Ridgid is no exception.

I have the Rigid that's wall mounted. Sorry, I dont have the model # handy. It's loud enough to deafen. Everyone in my court knows that I've decided to use the vacuum. Unless you like noise and cheap plastic hoses that don't bend, I don't recommend it. You could buy upgraded hoses and attachments which would help a bit but buy some ear protection too.

Actually, the new Ridgids are pretty quiet for shop vacs.

This vac also offers new patented scroll noise reduction technology which allows for powerful and quiet performance.
