I have never used it, just saw it on the Lowes front page.

If anybody has any experience with it, let us know.

Was $70, now $50 at Lowes

I bought that model a month or so ago, and really like it. It has a lot of power for vacuuming out the interior, and also does well on the "blo" feature to blow out the garage floor when it gets nasty. The cord is about 20' long, and the hose is pretty long too, so it makes it easy for reaching a lot of areas of the car, without having to pick up and move the vacuum.

Lowe's just finished up a promotion where if you spent $50, you got $10 off. All you had to do was go to the custoemr service desk and ask for a coupon. I think I got mine for around $40 when all was said and done.

i have a 4 gallon Shop-Vac brand with a little less hp I believe, and so far so good. It has way more than enough suction for auto-detailing related duties. It's nice and compact and mine also sits on caster wheels for easy maneuverability. We've owned it a few years now and it still works perfectly fine.

I recently started using my 12 gal Rigid $30 vac from Home Depot and as far as performance goes, the Rigid blows the Shop-Vac out of the water. But they each have their pros and cons. The bigger vac is harder to move around. It's louder. The bigger hose can suck up bigger items with less clogging, but the bigger size is not as comfortable to hold. The suction is almost too powerful at times, especially when you have carpet that's not nailed down to the floor or secured properly. Most attachments are too big for auto-detailing use, but its extra suction does make up for it.

If I had to live with one vac at home, I'd take the bigger Ridgid as it can do more. But if I was using this in a mobile environment, then hands down I would pick a smaller, portable yet still powerful unit. I think $50 is a pretty good price for a model of that size and power.

Good eye Brian! I really want a good shop vac that I can blow out the crevices of a car to get water out of mirrors and stuff. I wonder if this would cover it.

I went by today to pick up a few other items. They had the shopvac at $59 on the shelf sticker, so you might want to bring a print out of the webpage with you.

The wife and I used 3 different $10 off $25 coupons on different items making seperate purchases. So tomorrow I will get the vac using another $10 off coupon.
