Shining Monkey Clay and Wash

Both of these get a thumbs up from me. Admittedly I'm not the most experienced guy in the world, but I really like these products.

I started my friends horrible silverado today. The Shining Monkey soap suds up very well (especially compared to Megs GC) and has some good cleaning power as well. It also rinses off very well and is reasonably priced.

I also really like their clay. Looking at the silverado pre-wash, all we could notice was the waterspots everywhere. After the wash, upon further inspection there was overspray EVERYWHERE! Since his truck was going to take a long time, I ran to Autozone and picked up a mothers clay bar. The mothers clay didn't pick up the overspray worth a damn, but the shiningmonkey stuff didn't have a problem.

I believe my brother also purchased the polish and wax, but I haven't tried them yet.

I think I saw this stuff on clearance at danase or some other online store. It just sort of showed up and left the same day though..any story behind it?

I have the whole Shinning Monkey kit. Their tire spray is great, wash is real good, polish is pretty good ( contains teflon enough said) and wax is actually pretty good. All in all they make really good products, I would say they are above Meguiars and Mothers and the other OTC products.

Talking about Teflon,

What's so good about Telfon product? it is /maybe a health hazzard gimmick!

So don't think product Telfon is something premium...

No offence, but do a search here on "Teflon" and you'll understand why i say so... :soscared:

Teflon has no purpose in detailing products. It does not bond to the paint/tires/etc.

ok this is something which i'm trying to find out...

teflon has no purposed in detailing product... but will it inhibit the performance / effect of other substances in the product?

eg; will teflon affect the wax curing on the paint?

Do a search for teflon on the forum. It will not bond right unless heated to a certain temp(maybe 500 degrees). Nothing but a gimmick.

I think the amount of Teflon in the product is so tiny that it will not affect the product in any way. The manufacturer knows that Teflon will not serve any purpose in the wax. If they put 1 microgram of Teflon in a bottle of wax, they can truthfully say that their product is "enhanced with Teflon", or however they want to phrase their BS.

I doubt it. Like I said, I'd bet that the amount of Teflon in any of those products is so miniscule that it has zero effect on anything.
