SG application and Sonus Acrylic Spritz?

So Im thinking of taking the plunge and buying SG to use on the daily drivers for winter. I did a search but didnt find the exact answer, is the Sonus Acrylic spritz "required" for the entended life of SG? Would a normal QD like FI work well too? Also would there be any issues to topping 1 layer SG with a layer of Collinite 476s after it cures? I figure that combination should definitely last through the winter.

I get great durability from SG without using a QD, but I do always put numerous layers of SG on. Not necessarilly all at once, I'll often just add one after each wash for a while.

Topping with 476S will work fine, but get as much SG as you want on there first.

FWIW, I put six layers of SG on our MPV last Summer (that's summer of '03) and I'm only now having to redo it...it kept beading for over a year despite frequent spot-claying. I'm so impressed with the SG's durability that I've quit topping it, and this is on a vehicle that gets used year-round. It *does*, IMO, look better with a wax topper though.

I have used both. The SG is for protection, but as it ages, needs a little birghtening up. The SONUS AS really adds the sparkle back.

SONUS AS is SG, UPP friendly and can be used with either, in random order without ill effects.

SONUS AS is great as a SG de-smear agent as well.

It is all I have ever used with the K-twins - Red '01 Lightning (while I had it).

If you're a dedicated SG user, you're gonna want the Sonus spray...it's the icing for the cake, not so much for additional durability but for brightening things up without re-doing the SG.
