SFX-1 or SFX-2?

I got the whole 1-2-3 kit with PC Ultimate. Going to come in today and will be my first detailing project (other than applying the full Turtle Wax ICE kit, never polished though)



I have a few visible, white scratches on black paint. I was going to do SFX-1 right away on those (not the whole car), but maybe I should take a different approach: Apply SFX-2 twice if necessary



Any suggestions? I have no idea how thick my clearcoat is



My car is a 2003 Mercedes SLK 230 BLACK

Mercedes CC is pretty hard stuff and I don't think either one of the SFX will even cause a dent on it. I would go with Menzerna IP or SIP.
