SEMA Show

I was wondering if anyone here from DC plans on attending the SEMA trade show in Las Vegas? The dates are 11/3-11/7/08. The only requirement is that you work for a business or have your own. They need two forms of business I.D. that's it.

I'm going because I heard from a friend that it's worth it, especially for us business owners. Supposedly there are all kind of car products and ideas that can help us out. Service that can help generate revenues.

If you are interested check out the site. It should be a great time!:rockon 2008 SEMA Show | Home

I'll be there! SEMA is definately worth attending. But be warned, if it's your first time attending, take it slow because you WILL...and I mean you WILL walk your ass off. Tons of great stuff and cars to see.

We'll be attending and staying at Planet Hollywood. My wife and I love Vegas and this year I'm hopeful that a bodykit that I designed will be displayed at the show on a car. Nevertheless, if it's not completed in time, we'll still be there to take it all in,

Nothing like Vegas and cars! The two best things in the world!:rockon

See ya there!

Yup got mine last week. They are pretty cool looking with the laminate pocket and that pass card on the back. I'm really getting pumped up for this show!

All you need to do is start a detailing business and you're in. You have to have 2 forms of proof of business.

While I am a SEMA member, it's not required in order to attend.

I don't want to give up my current job. It would feel like I am wasting my degree. That and making a living detailing properly in Louisville, KY is difficult. No one wants to spend money on caring for their cars and their are plenty of hacks around doing $89 "details". Trying to convince someone to pay you $200 or more for a proper detail with the $89 guys are all over the place is difficult.

I have been temped to do some part time detailing on nights and weekends but work has been taking up quite a bit of time than usual with the annual audit going on and and am involved in a few community groups too.

What is considered a form of proof of business? Would a business card work? Or do they mean more "offical" documents like a permits and such?

You dont need to quit your j o b . to get a business license to detail cars.To find out 2 forms of id go to semashow.com.I've gone the last 3 years, had a blast meeting new people+ all the celebrities.I felt like a kid in a candy store.
