Just curious guys? Anyone ever detail a hearse?:wow:
Thanks beemer! The reason I was asking was I went to a wake the other day and the funeral director and I started taliking and asked if I did autos aswell as aircraft. Its a small town and everyone kinda knows everyone. Hes kinda apprehensive about taking that thing just to anyone. I told him I do autos aswell but that i have never tackled a limo much less a hearse it kinda weirded me out a bit but i told him i'd do it and give him a resonable price if he would give me a chance at it. That thing is huge and white! :bigups
It's kinda like people not wanting to visit hospitals in fear of getting sick. I would be afraid to detail a hearse in fear of getting dead.
Just kidding of course. No I have not done one.
Just show confidence that you are the man when it comes to detailing hearses and this guy will line them up for you.![]()
I would think that most of them are in great shape and wouldn't be that hard to do.

Never detailed one, but while following a fantastic looking Lincoln hearse at my last funeral, I was thinking... what a great detailing rig!. Just imagine... Killer Details, A Shine to Die For.
I know, I'm going straight to he11!
At the end of the day its still just car...paint is no different..inside is about the same except for that back....the two that I have coming up are from the place that we used for my father in laws service...the owner is a personal friend of my wife's from school...he inherited his fathers biz....I talked to him about his two brand new cars...jet black caddys...showed him the major swirls and all...he said that after the holidays and when the weather clams down that he wants both done...mainly I will be working the outsides...inside the cars look OK and he and his partner take good care of it...still a lot of work..the tops on them are landau style..of which I will treat with Ragg topp vinyl treatment
Beemer you are exactly right the inside of that thing is immaculate! its just the outside that does need work. Its very rural down here lotsa red dirt roads so the hearse being white you can just imagine how it gets. I got another question? How do you even begin to charge on one of these things?
On aircraft I charge by the hour and by size but this thing isnt larger than a beechcraft but larger than a single engine cessna? Its sure as hell bigger and more delicate than a Dodge dually? I would appreciate any guidence you can give me. Thanks
