Sealant over glaze? (RMG > UPP)

Hi Folks,

Planning a full detail on my black pickup this week. I've got a bottle of Clearkote RMG just burning a hole on my shelf, but I'm not sure if it's safe to use it this time. Why, you ask? :)

The truck is my DD and it just pains me to see the scratches and swirls this thing attracts. My plan is to apply two coats of Four Star UPP before a topcoat of carnuba (I've got three days to play, and will be working on a few other vehicles at the same time).

So, the question - okay to use UPP over RMG? Or, should I just save the glaze for when I plan to top with wax only?

Not that it matters for this question, but with this detail I'm also looking forward to trying Menzerna IP and FPII for the first time (other than some spot polishing). I've got the SSR's in the bullpen if needed, but after seeing the results of Menzerna on other vehicles I'm anxious to play with it. So, the full plan of attack is wash, clay, IP, FPII, UPP x2, and NB. Just trying to figure out if I can sneak RMG in there too... Thanks in advance!

I have had no bonding issues with UPP over RMG on my silve CR-v and was very pleased with the added wetness of the RMG

i just used this combo on a blue bmw, it looked great...the RMG/UPP made the paint pop

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. Good to know there won't be any bonding issues, and I can't wait to see the results. Thanks again...
