sea sponge, looking for link

Someone posted a link to a webpage that sold sea sponges for washing cars. They were slices actually of the sea sponge. They were cut to like 1" thick and were around 8" or something like that in diameter and you got two of them.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about because I can't find a link in my mess of folders and links on my favorites.

i know what you are talking about, but not the link. I do know however that the Sea Sponges are known to scratch. They are not completely filtered, and sand is still inside. My friend used it, and it left a scrach pretty deep in the door panel.:nono

When you get your sea sponges, wet them and feel for sand, coral, bits of sea shell, etc. It's usually easy to feel if there is any stuff in the sponge when it's wet. Squish it all over between two fingers. If you find anything, you can usually get it out. If not, you may be able to cut away the bit with the junk with a pair of scissors.
