scratched headlight lens

I had a piece of plywood sail toward my car and it nailed the plastic headlight lens now i have a big scrape/scratch mark about the size of a quarter on the plastic lens. Any suggestions on how to get ride of the scratch/scrape?



The scratch is pretty deep, the over the counter products won't take it out looks like buffing is going to be needed.



Any ideas would be a great help.

If it's really deep, and you intend on polishing it all out, you may distort the lens affecting the optics and therefore your headlight pattern, so go easy on this or consider replacing the lens. Perhaps insurance? Deductibles are frequently lower if this is not collision damage.
