WG1- Noting that I haven't use either of those two products, I can't imagine a one-time use on healthy/thick paint would be a problem with either one. If you need that level of abrasive then you need it. My painter uses the IP via rotary and he doesn't consider it very harsh. If you're working by PC, I'd be more concerned with finding something aggressive *enough* so you don't spend forever on it.
