Scion XB correction with single step

I bought this car last year in Feb to use as a daily and work vehicle. I told them what I wanted and not to touch it. Well the only white 5spd was in Louisiana so they drove it down. They had already washed it and swirled it up. It has taken over a year for me to actually do the work that needed to be done.

I washed with dawn, foamed with DP Extreme foam, clayed with Clay Magic blue because there were a lot of stubborn contamination. Once the vehicle was clayed and dried I began polishing. There were some pretty good swirling going on but nothing crazy. I tried to capture the imperfections on camera with different lighting but there was no way to see it on the camera. So these are after pics that I took.

Polishing was done with the Flex 3401/white pad/SIP I would say 95% correction was achieved with this single step. I did not finish down with anything else.

I took very slow passes with some pressure on the machine. The hood took two passes but everything else took just one. I was pretty happy with the ease of it since I did not want to spend two days on this.

Once polished I re foamed the car washed, and dried it. I applied a coat of the Black Fire Wet Diamond which I found SUPER easy to use, and the slickness was amazing. The next day I had to work so once I got back I did an ONR wash and then put another coat of WD. Anyway, here are the afters which came 9 hours after I began.

Good job on the XB. I'll be getting an 08 model at the beginning of next year. Scion XB's really are amazing cars for the money.:bigups

Thanks JS

Yeah Streetlife they're not bad man. I get about 28-30 mpg with the car unloaded, when I have all my equipment in there I get from 26-28. So not bad but I have to fill up every 4 days pretty much. I like it, it was cheap, it rides fine even with the what they called lowered springs. I would like it lower but it is a work vehicle as well so I will just keep it this way. The clutch is incredibly light though, I have had it over a year and still have a hard time with first every once in a while. Sucks!
