ScheerSpeed: Revisited Porsche Carrera in a fire station

This is the 2nd time i detail this car. The last time was almost 6 months ago. The protection had completely worn off, and there was some water spots all over the car. I initially tried CG waterspot remover to try and remove them, but they didn't budge, so i had to resort to polishing them out. Plus the owner washes the car about 3 times a week, so there was all sorts of marring from washing.

i started out trying a 50/50 with 106FF and a white CCS, but that didn't completely remove the water spots.

IMG_7565.jpg

so i had to resort to more abrasive polishing using a Orange CCS pad and SIP

For finishing polish i went with 85RD and a blue 3M UltraFina UK pad

Now i decided to try out my new polarizing filter on my Canon Rebel XTi

looks great!

awesome shots, how do you like the polarizer filter? I recently got one for my SLR and love it whenever the sky is in the picture.

Porsches and Pierces.... Nice job! :2thumbs:

Great job and awesome pics. It's good to see that the fire fighting profession is paying well in Miami

To afford a Carrera, the owner is probably a high ranking command officer ( Battalion Chief or higher), has a good part time job on the side, a wife with a good job or comes from money to begin with, or a combination of all 4!

I am a Deputy Chief with my FD, I make a good living, but I can't afford a Porsche... yet! :LOLOL

Great line, DGonz - "Porsches and Pierces". Might only be a few of us who know what that means.

Unbelievable looking work Scheer and a great setting with great photos!

Like DGonz said, the firefighting profession affords the time to fully realize a second profession and I would guess this guy (or gal) has a good living doing something else when he's off.

Nice work. I remember your first post on this car a while back...even with soft clear, it's amazing that it needed that much correction 6 months later. Oh well, that's what keeps us in business.
