Chicks Dig Comb Overs
I got my boss's s2000 on loan again last night - Poorboy Steve had recommended that I try using a terry cloth and PP or SSR2 on the plastic rear window which I complained about in a post before. I explained that I had neither so he suggested SSR1 - I was concerned about the red dye in SSR1 getting on the fabric top and considered taping but decide to be extra careful instead.
At first, I got no results with SSR1 just like with all else I've tried. Steve had been adamant about the terry cloth so I kept trying - no results. Finally, I rememberd the Aquis hair drying towel I've had luck using for hand polishing before. (My wife donated it to the cleaning rag bin some time back after she decided it didn't work miracles for hair drying after all.
)
Well it's a miracle hand polishing cloth!! I had no idea a simple applicator could make such a difference. I'm ordering another Aquis "diva dryer" hair towel right now. :bigups
Both SSR1 and the Renovo plastic polish removed the haze and scratches when using the Aquis cloth for the applicator. Neither had worked when using any short nap MF, plush MF, terry wash cloths or cotton diaper cloth.
Here's a pict with half the window cleared and half still scratched and foggy. I'm shocked at the difference.
